Sorry for the long "siesta". Those of you who may have read my last post may remember that my computer crashed - on my birthday no less! My hard drive was completely wiped out, and it has been a long road since! Any of you who have had this happen, I am sure can relate. You have no idea what you have until you've lost it! So, my life has been in a bit of a mess since all this happened. But I think I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I am happy to say that I do have some things to share with you today!
I can't take the credit for the design of this card, a wonderful blogger named Kimberly Van Diepen created this card, and inspired me to try this beautiful white tone on tone card made using the Pretties kit.
Sorry about the glare with this picture. This card is made using the new Window Sheets. Cardstock is Bermuda bay with a five-petal flower punched out with the new Thoroughly Modern paper and also vellum.
This is a mini album that I made using the scallop die cut. I glued Garden Green c/s to cardboard, and then die cut the scallop out, and added white pages inside. The front is decorated with Cottage Wall DSP, a bird from one of the Sizzlits dies, and one of the Emboslits flowers. I punched a hole through the top of the album and added a small ring. Then I tied ribbons onto the ring.
I have also been having a ton of fun playing with the new My Digital Studio! It is so easy to create a page, and within minutes, you can have a scrapbook page ready to go. Here is one I've created recently.
My sister treated me to Olive Garden, two dozen roses, and a box of two dozen chocolates. My husband was out of town that day, and so it was a real treat to spend time with my sister and my two special kids. Of course, my husband spoiled me when he got home, and all my friends and family called and helped make my day so very special too - until of course late that night when my 'puter decided to die! So I have very bitterSWEET memories of this birthday LOL!
Well, that's it for today, I hope to share with you some more Digital Scrapbooking stuff later on in the week!
