It seems I've been getting lots of paint on my fingers lately! It has something to do with the new DECOR STENCILS!! They are so much fun!! I can't believe how easy it is to make the cutest projects with these stencils! Here, take a look at what I've made recently.
This was a cheap wooden frame for $1.00 at a local craft store. I spray painted it white. Then I sponged it with a light pink acrylic paint and then added some purple polka dots and the green swirly leaf is actually a Decor Stencil from the Vintage Ornaments 1 found on page 29 of the Decor Elements Brochure. For the inside of the frame, I used GLOSSY WHITE cardstock. These frames were cheap and didn't come with glass, so I used the GLOSSY WHITE cardstock to make it look more finished. I brayered different colors onto the c/s with my brayer, and then used STAZON ink to stamp the sentiment and the bird. For the sentiment, I used the new Charming set which will be available for customers to purchase on Sep. 1. There are a lot of possibilities with this set! I don't know if you can tell or not, but I used the new shimmer paint on this frame, and it made ALL the difference in the world!! It just shimmers, and looks stunning in person.
One more thing I added to this frame - look at the top right hand corner - do you see a beautiful flower there? One of the ladies in my church crocheted this for me after I showed her the Fleurette flowers in the catalog. Isn't it beautiful! She is willing to make these to sell if anyone is interested. :)
Here is another frame I made while the mojo was flowing :)
Same techniques used here as described above, except I did use the FLOURISH decor stencil to make the purple swirly design.
This is a picture of some of the other beautiful crocheted flowers she made for me.
So you can see that I've been having fun making some 3D projects! If you haven't tried out the Decor Stencils yet - you need to give them a try, they add the perfect touch to just about anything you are creating!
Have a wonderful Friday everyone!!
