We had a busy but awesome weekend! My son Ryan was in a wedding in East Texas. This family have been close friends of ours for years, and Ryan looked up to Aaron, the groom, as his hunting and fishing buddy. When Aaron and his sister Kourtney were younger, they spent several summers with me while their parents were working, and so they feel like my own kids even still!
Here is a picture of Ryan all dressed up in his tux...
I couldn't resist sharing these pictures of my two kids!! Congratulations Aaron and Stormie!!
I forgot to take a picture of the card I gave to them. It was a gift card made with the new Big Shot XL Look Here. Her colors were (in SU terms) Melon Mambo, Old Olive, and Elegant Eggplant. I made the card using vellum embossed with the Manhattan Flower embossing folder and tied Melon Mambo across it, just like this card, only I used a different sentiment.
Here is what the envelope looked like after it was embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, and then I chalked the raised edges.
And now we are on the countdown for school to start! School starts for my kids next Monday - and we are all saying - where has summer gone!!!! But life is full of seasons, and if always stayed summer, we would be bored for sure, so the good Lord knew what he was doing. So I am trying to get myself and our kids in gear and ready for another school year.
I did get a chance to stamp some today and perhaps I'll be back later this week with some new projects to share with you - but until then - have a wonderful week!
