Hi everyone! I was organizing my craft space today because I still can't find anything! So as I was sorting through some things, I ran across this lunch tin I bought a long time ago with great intentions, that never came to pass. I decided today was the day to get busy and make something out of this box! The Bella Rose papers were calling my name, and so here is the end result. It was a little time intensive, as I had to create the pattern through trial and error with scratch paper to make the pattern for the paper to go around the latch and the handles. However, after I finished with that, the box came together in a jiffy. I cut out one of the rose patterns on the Bella Rose paper, and used my Top Note die cut and Go Go Boots die cut for the letters. I used all my taffeta ribbons - white, pink, chocolate, and riding red for the handles. For the inside, which I didn't take a picture of, I made index cards with the tab punch to separate out my cards instead of having to sort through all of them to look for the greeting card I need. I finished off the box by covering it with Modge Podge.
Then I decided it was time to play with one of the new In Colors that I really am having trouble liking - Pacific Point. It is just so bright, but I wanted to see if I played with it if it would make me like it better. So I began to randomly pull some papers and color together, and then all of a sudden my inspiration showed up - our little kitty decided it was time to play...
Should I use this color.. or this one? Hmm....
Let's play with it a while and see what happens...
Well - how about some ribbon?
Well, that's not working - let's check out Cosmo and see if he can help us...
Nope - Cosmo is trying to catch up on his sleep - no help there....
Sorry about that but... I think I'll take a nap too - this creating business is for the birds...
Okay - well thanks Miss Kitty - I appreciate the help - let's see if I can continue on - but it's just not as much fun now without you...
Not so bad, but not so great either... I used Organic outlines for the chocolate piece, and I really like how that turned out. What do you think - do you like Pacific Point? Or is it just me? It just doesn't inspire me like Baha Breeze, Riding Red and Pink Pirouette! Anyway - hope you have a great day - it's Thursday - one more day to the weekend, and this will be my FIRST weekend to be at home since I got the call two months ago that my house had an offer on it. We've been gone every weekend since - crazy I know!! I'm looking forward to sleeping in on my own bed Saturday morning!

lol - love your post with your helper/non-helper! your tin came out nice! I hope you have a wodnerful weekend to chill at home (it looks nice, btw from what I can see) your kitty & my kitty can be related!

Hi Marilyn, Oh my goodness, your cat looks like mine! They could be brothers. Mine is named Fuzzy, (my 17 year old son named him that when we got him 10 years ago), and he is my baby! I know that we have posted to each other before about how scrapbooking is our first love, and I am happy to say I actually got to do some of it today. I am working on a book for my parent's 50th anniversary, and I'm having such a good time with it. Love the old pictures. Keep up the great posts!

Too funny, Marilyn! My cat has done that before too. Love both of your projects. Try Pacific Point with Riding Hood Red; it looks great! Beate made a card today with Pacific Point, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss.

fun project, clean and create that is a talent. I think I might have to purchase the gogo boots alpha it is bigger than I thought.

OMG!!!! My cat looks just like Miss Kitty and she is always in the craft stuff. It must be a tabby cat trait.
LOVE the tin, how cute is that.

I love this Marilyn....do I see the animals in the house? You did a really fine job girl, but I have to say, what I loved best was to see those animals of your lounging in the background!
Warmly, Sandra

Love your card box! Cutting out that image from the DSP just looks too intimidating to me. I think all the ribbon really makes it!! And I love the pictures of Miss Kitty, complete with her helpful suggestions! :)

Marilyn, your card tin is gorgeous!
Your little helper is very cute - teehee. I like what she came up with for a color combo. I like Pacific Point but haven't come up with a color combo using it that I totally love.

My hubby got such a laugh out of your stamping partners!! He works from home, too, and every day he has a battle for his keyboard. There's always either a cat on his keyboard, or one in front of his monitor trying to "help" him work. Thanks for the giggles this morning!!!
