I just have to tell you - I have the best downline gals ever!! We got together today and had the most fabulous time! Today our meeting was at Kandi's house, and this is a picture of Kandi in her newly built craft room! She did so much work making this craft room a very inspiring and fun place to be!! Her colors are black, white and hot pink and I can't even tell you how fun it was to play in this room!! All around us was tons of inspiration!
Look at this wall!! This is not the greatest picture, but Kandi stenciled/painted these designs on her wall PERFECTLY and it added the perfect touch to this amazing craft room! Don't you just love the coordinating lamp shade too - I can tell you - we were drooling over all the cute things she had done with this room!
Kandi made these curtains to cover the area where she stores all her stamps (which are all neatly filed by theme and have plastic labels on each one). I loved these little curtains though! She used binder rings to hang them on the shelf and the black and hot pink together add so much excitement to the room. And I know you can't tell in this picture, but look at the broom off to the right, it has the same brocade design in black on it - she says she found this broom at our local Ace Hardware!!
Here are her stamps on the shelf hidden behind the curtain - look at the labeling system she has - if they have a red star on them, they are retired - she's like me - I just can't part with the golden oldies!!
So needless to say the three of us had a fabulous time visiting, catching up on our lives and sharing creative ideas. Kandi served us the most delicious lunch, chicken salad, potato chips, and potato salad along with fresh veggies. Then for dessert - yes... dessert - we had cherry cheese cake and brownies - can I say I had to be rolled out of there! Oh my! It was so much fun that we decided we have to do this more often!!
This is the card that Kandi designed and we made. Can you believe that I don't have this set - now I gotta have it - we had WAY too much fun with it!! I love the springy, fun bright colors, and even though all the products weren't SU, the possibilities with this card were endless. Each one of our cards looked different. The "B" is cut out and pop-dotted. There is a piece of vellum stamped on the green flower and cut out to add extra dimension. Isn't this a cute fun card - now I gotta order this set!!
Here is the project that I brought for us to make. Afraid that my creativity level was at an all time low, so I CASED a project I saw on one of my favorite blogs, the Pickled Paper blog by Amy Scheffer.
I took the basic idea from Amy and changed the design up a bit. I used some of the new Hodgepodge hardware, with an old set Be Happy and the new Live Your Dream. The paper we used was the Bali Breeze paper - doesn't this paper just scream spring!! I love it!
My other downline Sandra brought an awesome project for us to do, but alas - time got away from us, and we didn't get to her project, so we've already set a date for another get together to make her project - which is absolutely stunning - I can't wait to make it. I'll be sure to post it when we get to make it.
So Kandi and Sandra - if you are reading this, thanks so much to both of you for a wonderful day spent together - definitely feel inspired and ready to create again - as soon as time permits!!! LOL!!

This room is AWESOME!!!! I just LOVE it!!!! She did a great job!!
I love your project too. I just finished some of those binder clips myself. Off to post to my blog.

You're right Marilyn, this is a fabulous room! I love how she color coordinated her organization and space. You can tell she is truly an organized kind of gal. I wish I was. It sounds like a fabulous time you all had together!

What a great space, I'm in the process of creating my own craft room and I think I may implement some of your ideas, the skirting on the table is the bomb! a geat way to be budget minded.
