Sorry I haven't posted in a few days - it is the Christmas season and time to be busy!! But I had a few minutes to get in my scrapbook room and create and here is what I played with. One of the projects for my stamp camps Monday evening and Thursday afternoon were the beaded pens. I had just gotten my order from SU with the three tins and was wondering what to do with them. I decided to try pouring the micro beads for my beaded pens into one of the tins, and ta-da! It works perfect!! The pens fit in the tin just right and you can smoosh the beads onto the pen in a jiffy!! So then I had to decorate the tin - and here is what I came up with.
I used the darling Cutie Pie DS papers for this tin and you can't really tell in the picture, but I used my Liquid Applique and applied it to all the polka dots and then heated it up with my embossing gun - which made the dots really pop. Then I used the retired alphabet set for the words "beads" Also for the stitching effect, I used the stamp set - All in a Row - I can't get enough of this set - used with the Stamp-a-ma-Jig - you get perfect stitching every time - and much eaasier for me to use than a sewing machine -and you sure can't use a sewing machine on a tin :)
Here is a picture of the tin with the Microbeads and pen inside - works great!!
I have a birthday party to attend tonight, and after looking through all of my bags, I couldn't find one appropriate to use for the gift I had bought. So I improvised!! I found a bag from a store that I had purchased a candle from. It was all burgandy with their name on the front. I decided to cover up their name and used the new set from the Preview Brochure with the "little birdie" to make this cute little bag!
I used some ribbon from Making Memories to match the DS paper. It came together really quickly, and I was very pleased with the result! Now off to get ready for the birthday party... Thanks for stopping by!

I love the way you improvise !! This is just great :)
